Orisha are deities of the Yoruba people of southwestern Nigeria, sent by the Supreme Creator Olodumare to guide humanity toward purpose and success on Earth. This design celebrates four powerful female Orisha:
Ògún (Ogum) at the top, the Orisha of iron, labor, and craftsmanship; Ossain (right), the lord of leaves and guardian of nature’s secrets, associated with life, death, and the potent energies of plants; Exu (Èṣù) at the bottom, the great connector and guardian of pathways, communication, and the web of life; and Oxumaré (Oshunmare) on the left, the sacred rainbow serpent spirit (child of Nanã) who embodies duality, belonging to both water and earth, male and female, expressing the union of opposites that sustains the universe.
Each figure honors a different force of nature and aspect of becoming. You can explore more about each Orisha via the hyperlinks!
